Arianna Huffington asked Sir Richard Branson 10 top digged questions . The first one was: “When does money become immaterial?” In this interview on his private jet, he starts out saying that family and friends are most important. He says that the basics are having a roof over your head, enough bedrooms for everyone in the family, a car with 4 wheels to get you from A-B and sorting out things with your family if someone is ill.
After that he goes on to say that if you are lucky to create a successful business, then you can make a difference in people’s lives and take time to make some right s in the world. He also talks about other things such as the death of record labels, getting high on life without the use of drugs, crying when he sold his company and that most of the time he has tears of happiness.
Richard Branson has obviously done amazing things in his career. Coming from a person that is an actual billionaire and is making a difference in the world, I enjoyed listening to him say that it is an extreme responsibility to have this wealth. In my opinion, he is a conscious individual and that is why he has reaped the benefits of having all this wealth.
I have lived the road of taking care of my son as a single mother and have dedicated much time to the treasure I received, this beautiful son. It is because of him that I stayed focus on my responsibility of raising this child into a conscious adult with values, morals, and work ethic. He has been the grounding force in my life to which all my major decisions were based upon. I am grateful for the time I invested to nourish our relationship. It is worth a billion.
