Arianna Huffington asked Sir Richard Branson 10 top digged questions . The first one was: “When does money become immaterial?” In this interview on his private jet, he starts out saying that family and friends are most important.  He says that the basics are having a roof over your head, enough bedrooms for everyone in the family, a car with 4 wheels to get you from A-B and sorting out things with your family if someone is ill.

After that he goes on to say that if you are lucky to create a successful business, then you can make a difference in people’s lives and take time to make some right s in the world. He also talks about other things such as the death of record labels, getting high on life without the use of drugs, crying when he sold his company and that most of the time he has tears of happiness. cristian-blanca-sept-08In a letter to his daughters, President elect Obama tells them that they were the ones who inspired him to become President. He hopes for their children to realize their dreams.  Most inspirations come from the true heart. If this is so, then I can see why he became president. This country needs a vision from the heart for the children. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090115/ts_alt_afp/uspoliticsobamachildren.

Having gone thru several challenges as a single mother of a 15 year old son, I can truly say that it is my son that has given me the momentum to never give up. The love, laughter and innocence of his heart is what gives me the same. I can remain as a child at heart with the daily mirroring of this wonderful child I have been blessed with.  Adults were once children.  He is now in between becoming a man. I sure hope he keeps the child within him alive so that he can dream to no end and create the life he is destined to.  It is my job to love him every day of my life and discipline him lovingly so he knows certain boundaries of respect and work ethic so that he can become an adult that can contribute something positively into this world. My home may have been “broken up”  because I got divorced, but my dreams are not broken.

seeds-like-snowflakesI woke up this morning to water my milkweed and found the seeds from the pods that were hanging on the plant yesterday, now laying on the ground like snowflakes. It is so amazing to see the perfection of nature that each seed hasnumerous hairlike silk strands so that it can glide itself to a new location to birth something new.

Our family has an annual “Tamale” dinner. This is a traditional meal from Colombia.  We all look forward to this meal. I aksed my borthers, sister and sister’s in law what they love about the tamale dinner and unanimously it is the love in which they were created.

My life’s destiny is shaped by the love I have in my family. I am blessed that my parents are still alive and that I am close to my siblings. There are times where AI need to go into my quiet and alone space, but in the end in times of stress, it is my family who is there for full support. I am doubly blessed to have an extended family of great friends who are also there for me. My life is what it is because of the love I receive from them. Here my father gives some sentimental words of wisdom from his perspective in his older years(even though he always says he is 49). Continue Reading->

Since it is Thanksgiving Day and a day of sharing with family, I talk about the importance of making peace with everyone in your family. If  you are not close to your family or feel you need to make peace with someone that has passed on, you can make peace in your heart by sending them love. I really believe it can be as simple as that.  The most important part is to really feel that you are sending the love.

My house is finally in order after the chaos. I talk here on the video how it is important to pay attention to what is important, specifically your family and friends (and pets). We all have wounds. We all are vulnerable and sensitive. We all have protective crusts, but it is time to let go of these worn out crusts so we can shine and be more free.

This is part 2 of a beautiful family day where I explain what the meaning of home and safety is and what we did to visualize. I took my son thru a guided 15 minute visualization of feeling the warmth and love that we have created in our home.

I decided to give some time to my son since I have been working non stop, including weekends, for the past three weeks.  He didn’t have school because of Veterans Day and instead of seeing that his presence would be a distraction while I worked, I decided to do an experiment. We had an exchange of time, where I took him wherever he wanted to go, and later he would give me some time to visualize and meditate for our goal. He chose to go to lunch in South Beach. This is part 1.
